We build software that
actually works in South Africa.

NextIQ Solutions is a Johannesburg-based software company. We focus on a small number of products, build them well, and make them useful for real people doing real work.

Simple software.
Real impact.

Our mission is to build software products that solve practical operational problems — products that are easy to use, secure by design, and genuinely useful in the South African context.

We don't build for the sake of technology. We build because there are real problems that existing tools haven't solved well — problems that cost schools time and money, or that make everyday decisions harder than they need to be.

When we ship a product, we want people to say: "This makes my day easier." That's the measure that matters to us.

Built in South Africa, for South Africa

NextIQ Solutions was founded with a straightforward goal: build software that solves real operational problems in the South African context — not adapting foreign tools to fit a different market, but building from scratch for the problems we see around us.

Our first product, FoundNow, came from a conversation about how South African schools manage lost property. The answer was: not well. Piles of unnamed clothing, frustrated admin staff, irritated parents, and learners wearing the wrong uniform because their jersey never came back. It was a solvable problem — it just needed someone to solve it properly.

4Mo came from a different observation: people deciding where to go out on a Friday night still rely on WhatsApp groups and guesswork. The information exists — it just needs to be structured and made accessible in real time. So we built the tool that does that.

Both products share a common philosophy: keep it simple, make it reliable, respect the user's time. We don't add features to impress on a spec sheet. We add features that make the product more useful to the person using it — whether that's a school operations manager or someone deciding between two clubs on a Saturday night.

We're a small, focused team. We build carefully, we ship when things are ready, and we stand behind what we build.

Our values guide every product decision

We've kept our values short, because short values are ones you actually live by.

Quality

We'd rather ship one thing that works really well than five things that kind of work. Quality is not negotiable at NextIQ — it's the foundation of trust with every school and every user.

Simplicity

Complexity is easy. Simplicity is hard. Our products are designed to be picked up and used without a manual. If something requires explanation, we haven't designed it well enough yet.

Security

We handle data that belongs to schools, parents, and learners. We treat it accordingly — with proper access controls, local data hosting, and compliance with POPIA at the core of how we build.

Usefulness

Does it actually help someone do their job better, or make their decision easier? That's the test every feature must pass. We don't ship things that look good but don't do anything meaningful.

Reducing friction in everyday operations

A lot of software exists. Not much of it is truly useful. The tools that actually change how people work are the ones that remove friction — not add it.

When a school admin can log a found item in 30 seconds instead of managing a physical pile for hours, something real changes. When a parent gets a notification instead of finding out a week later that their child's jersey was sitting in a pile, trust is built. These aren't big dramatic transformations — they're small, daily improvements that compound into meaningful change.

Respect people's time
School staff don't have time for complicated software. Neither do club-goers. Our products respect that every interaction needs to be fast and frictionless.
Build for real users
We design for the person at the school reception desk on a Monday morning and the person trying to decide where to go on a Friday night — not an abstract user persona.
Be trustworthy
We handle sensitive data. We don't monetise it, we don't over-collect it, and we tell people clearly how we use it. Trust is our most important asset.

Innovation Lab

Beyond our current products, we explore ideas at the intersection of operations, security, and everyday consumer experiences in South Africa. Current areas of interest include event collaboration tools, identity verification, and AI-assisted operational workflows.

We don't announce products before they're ready. If you're interested in early access to new tools, or have an operational problem you'd like us to look at, get in touch.

Small, focused, and building

NextIQ is currently founder-led and focused on building with speed, care, and strong product execution.
